The GSLIS Tech Lab in Boston will be offering a free workshop on CSS.

A Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) is a text file with rules that define how the elements in a web page must be displayed. These rules, expressed through properties and values, give users the ability to format fonts’ sizes and colors, tables, borders, background images, background colors and much more.

There are three types of Cascading Style Sheets: Inline, Embedded/Internal and External. In this workshop we will focus on how you can create Inline and Internal style sheets. If you have a little experience with (X)HTML, this workshop will help you to create more structural and fancier web pages.

Please note:

  • GSLIS students, staff, faculty, and alumni are welcome
  • each session of the workshop will cover the same material

If you have any questions, please email the workshop series staff at workser@simmons.edu.

Thank you and we hope to see you there,

Your friends at the GSLIS Tech Lab in Boston
